Hi @starman, I’m not following here. The Attorney theme doesn’t use H1 tags for the menu, and the only H1 tag is the main headline for any given post or page. Can you share a link to your site so I can see what you mean?

Hi @starman, Can you elaborate on the problem. I don’t understand what you are saying. Here’s a screenshot from the first example with H tags outlined…

Hello @Charles, If you go to view source for deabreuandcohen.co.za > go to find > type in H1> you will see two H1 tags > main menu and Home
it’ll be the same for the other site above with different H1 tags
SEOQuake shows the same thing …two H1 tags… my site same thing…two H1 tags

Aha, I see. That first H1 is part of the accessibility nav which isn’t visible to regular visitors, only those with screenreaders. This can can be edited out in the header.php template (near the bottom), but honestly I wouldn’t bother. Strict use of H1 tags isn’t going to move the needle on your SEO. Google any competitive keyword in your space and look at the use of H tags on the top rating sites…they will be all over the show. I know best practice is 1 H1 and H2’s and H3s as appropriate, but there are many many other things which will have more impact that this.
